BOB JAMES PARADISE LOFT RADIO TRIBUTE SHOW

This show we have decided to dedicate to the amazing man of the groove, Bob James. Everyone has heard some of Bob's music whether they know it or not. With so many of his compositions being the pillars of early and modern day Hip Hop production. The two songs that jump out for me are the moody groove, Nautilus and the unrelenting intro from Take Me To The Mardi Gras.

A true Jazz man that found a way to keep the untamed element of Jazz while still being able to add a repeating groove in there somewhere that kept your toe tapping at the very least. So many of his songs are journeys that will take you on twists and turns but somehow always find a path leading back to this underlying groove that you can ride for the whole song.

If you are unfamiliar with Bob James then I recommend that you look into the links below. This will help you gain insight into his influence on music as we know it today. The second link will lead you to a wonderful world of brilliant cover art, something he was know for also.
